Make Your Wedding Day Uniquely Yours

So you're planning for your big day, huh? CONGRATULATIONS! This is truly such an exciting time. I'm sure you've realized by now just how many resources, ideas, images, and "themes" there are when it comes to wedding planning. With that being said, it can be easy to plan a wedding that isn't authentically you and your partner. It can be easy to see what's "trendy" and end up following the trends, even though it may not be your taste. But have no fear; that's where we come in. Below, we are outlining 6 easy ways to make your wedding day uniquely yours.

1. Throw the wedding you want

Easier said than done, right?! But that truly is step one. If you have always dreamt of eloping to an epic location, don't change that dream for the sake of other people. The same goes for a venue style; stick to your guns! This is your wedding. You are going to look at the photos from your big day for the rest of your life. Nobody is going to look at your photos years down the line and think, "Man. I wish you would've done what wanted."

2. Make sure your vendors can give you what you want

You've had your heart set on a certain vendor ever since you can remember. You schedule to meet them and talk details. And it turns out, you do not vibe together. Talk about the WORST feeling. We always tell our potential clients to make sure they feel that "click" with us. It's no secret that we think it's most important to have a good connection with your photographer ;) Often times, you and your honey spend more time with your photographer than with each other - make sure your personalities mesh well!

Beyond the personalities of your vendors, make sure the venue or ceremony space you book can deliver what you want. If your faith is super important to you, and you really want to make sure the guests can receive Communion, make sure the space is able to accommodate that for you. Similarly, if having a religious wedding is not important to you, maybe don't choose a space that pressures you to include religious traditions.

3. Choose attire that sparks confidence

Whether it's a wedding dress or a suit, make sure that whatever you end up choosing makes you feel confident and beautiful. If you've always wanted to feel sexy on your wedding day, choose something that makes you feel that way. When shopping for your dress or attire, remember to stay true to your style and desires.
